Some more random fun pictures to start off this post (can you tell I'm already obsessed with my camera?! ;)) My beautiful new living translation Bible, my girl Joyce Meyer, and my lovely Jesus Calling devotional.
below: my favorite summer nailpolishes! Essie duuuuh!;)
Psalm 37:4 is one of my absolute favorite verses. Take delight in Jesus and understand that He completes you, and He will give you everything else you desire. Took me a long time to learn this truth.
Well hello dere! Good
morning (afternoon to some of you maybe) to you guys! How are you?! Can I first
just begin this post by saying how excited I am for today? My Young Life
girls are graduating from middle school TONIGHT! That's right, they are off to high school! I will
have to make my announcement soon to all of their friends that if any guy would
like to date them then he will have to get through me first. muahaha. Julia and I are going to their graduation together tonight, I can't wait to share the photos with you guys! (on my new camera in first!)
I've just been thinking about these past few days how crazy it is how much has changed since I was a freshman in college. I mean, I am like a legit new person. I was literally the OPPOSITE of how I am now. My story is very similar to those people in the people who extremely unexpectedly were brought head on into a relationship with Jesus. Okay I was not a legit crazy person or anything, but I was a whole different person no doubt. I was not living in the light. It is honestly hard to believe how much Jesus has changed me. I didn't know He had that kind of power. Well, clearly I was wrong. If Jesus can change who I USED TO BE, well then dang guys, I totally believe now that there is hope out there for anyone and everyone. It doesn't matter who you used to be, God has the power to work with you and make you new.
"Therefor, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone, the new has come!"
2 Corinthians 5:17

Let me be honest with you. Exactly a year ago today when I was just beginning to follow Christ, I read this verse and I LAUGHED. Yep, I laughed. I didn't think it was true at all. I had just started pursuing Jesus and He was totally pursuing me as well, but I just didn't believe He was THAT powerful. Well, little did I know, I was about to be transformed from the inside out.
So thank you Jesus, for changing me and making me new. Even at my darkest, you still loved me. I can't believe it. You have taken off all of my chains, and made me free. You have given me the freedom to be myself, the woman you always called me to be. Dang, it feels good. What things have you noticed in yourself that have changed ever since you came to know God? Whether they are big or little things, they still matter and are awesome to notice! God's spirit is living in us! (It's a big deal okay ;))
I love you guys and hope you have a beautiful day!
